PLEASE READ - Important Details on Registering for the 2010-2011 Season Registration Deadline  Registration is due by March 31, 2010. Registrations submitted after April 1st, 2010 are not eligible for the $50.00  Registration Discount. Payment Details Registration must be paid in full by July 20, 2010 to be fully registered and attend evaluations or Rep try outs. Any player not showing complete payment by July 20th,  2010 will not be able to attend tryouts/evaluations Return registration forms with payment to Box 241, Port Alberni, BC, V9Y 7M7. Cash, Cheque or Credit Cards (Visa and Mastercard) are accepted.   To ease financial burden you can include a cheque for 1/3 OF REGISTRATION FEES, dated by May 20th, 2009, a cheque for 1/3 of registration fees dated June 20, 2009 and the balance no later than July 20, 2009. A jersey deposit cheque for $150.00 postdated to April 1, 2011 is required. Discounts        3rd person registered per family and the youngest in age will receive a discount of ½ the base rates.  (This does not apply to Rep Tryout Fees.) Goalies with all their own equipment will receive a discount of ½ base rate.  The discount is being offered at time of registration ONLY.  If your child changes to goalie part way through the season, they are welcome to use AVMHA equipment at not cost. Goalie equipment discount is applicable to Atom age and up. Funding  Any families requiring financial assistance can apply to:  THE KIDSPORT FUND JUMPSTART Forms are available online at www.avmha.com/2009/55FORMS.htm  Submit these forms to the Treasurer.   Competitive (Rep) Team Tryouts All players trying out for Competitive (REP) Teams must include an additional  $50.00 with their registration application by March 31st 2010.  Effective April 1, 2010 and after the fee is $75.00 in addition to their registration fee. Try-out fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Tryout Fee guarantees minimum one try out ice time Miscellaneous Please make sure that you have filled in your forms and cheques correctly; especially the jersey deposit cheque.  Incomplete OR incorrect forms will NOT be processed and will be returned to applicant. Players must be registered in their age division.  Any requests for player movement will have to be reviewed and approved by AVMHA.  Please complete separate application form. AVMHA reserves the right to limit amount of teams and players per team. Notices Evaluation and rep tryouts times will be posted in August 2010 in the Multiplex and www.avmha.com It is the responsibility of every player to obtain the correct evaluation/tryout time.   We Do Not Notify the Players Tax receipts will be handed out in February.

August 9, 2007  GRANT AVAILABLE TO REGISTER HOCKEY PLAYERS  Alberni Valley Minor Hockey Association will partner closely with other local programs, such as the local Canadian Tire JumpStart and KidSport programs to ensure that financial circumstances will not prevent any young females from participating in hockey. The Canadian Tire JumpStart program is a community-based charitable program that helps children in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation. The KidSport Fund is the charitable arm of Sport BC that has been designed to remove the financial barriers that may prevent some kids from playing sports.
