SCOTT CLYDESDALE

This
is Scott Clydesdale’s 6th season coaching for AVMHA. Born in
Powell
River, B.C, and raised in
Port Alberni, Clydesdale
didn’t start playing hockey until just 7 years ago. He started out with
the Parks and Recreation ‘Rookie Program’ with
Ron Doetzel.
It was around the same time that his wife and daughter started playing
hockey and the family hasn’t looked back.
Clydesdale began coaching in 2004 in the Mites division. He credits
another AVMHA coach, Mark Addy, with whom he ‘learnt so much’ from.
Clydesdale took his necessary coaching clinics and still enjoys learning
from other coaches. After coaching 1 year Mites, 2 years Novice and 2
years in Atom, he moved up this year to coach the Pee-Wee B team alongside
Geddes and Elder. Clydesdale really enjoys coaching and states that,” I
have learned with the kids and I am still learning”.
