Please Read – Important Details of Registration for 2008-09 Season

Registration Deadline

•  Guarantee placement of returning players, if registration received at Minor Hockey by March 31^st, 2008. 

• Registrations submitted after March 31st will be charged a $100.00 Late Registration Fee

Payment Details

• Registration must be paid in full by July 20, 2008 to be fully registered and attend evaluations or Rep try outs.

• Any player not showing complete payment by July 20^th,  2008 will not be able to attend tryouts/evaluations

• Return registration forms with payment to Box 241, Port Alberni, BC, V9Y 7M7.

• Credit Cards  - Visa and Mastercard are accepted.  ( AVMHA will not be offering a Pre-Authorized Payment Plan.)

•  To ease financial burden you can include a cheque for 1/3 OF REGISTRATION FEES, dated by May 20^th, 2008, a cheque for 1/3 of registration fees dated June 20, 2008 and the balance no later than July 20, 2008.

• A jersey deposit cheque for $75.00 postdated to March 31, 2009 is required.

Discounts

• 3^RD person per family will receive a discount of ½ the base rates.

• Goalies with all their own equipment will receive a discount of ½ base rate.  The discount is being offered at time of registration ONLY.  If your child changes to goalie part way through the season, you are NOT entitled to the discounted rate.

Competitive (Rep) Team Tryouts

• All players trying out for Competitive (REP) Teams must include an additional  $20.00 with their registration application

• Try-out fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

• Tryout Fee guarantees minimum one try out ice time

• Applications for Try-outs after March 31^st, 2008 will cost $30.00

Miscellaneous

• Players must be registered in their age division.  Any requests for player movement will have to be reviewed and approved by AVMHA.  Please complete separate application form.

• Registration fees include 1 pair of team socks and a $40.00 non refundable registration fee.  

• AVMHA reserves the right to limit amount of teams and players per team.

Notices

• Evaluation and rep tryouts times will be posted at the Multiplex by August, 2008.

• It is the responsibility of every player to obtain the correct evaluation/tryout time.

•  We Do Not Notify the Players

 

August 9, 2007 --- GRANT AVAILABLE TO REGISTER FEMALE HOCKEY PLAYERS
Alberni Valley Minor Hockey Association will partner closely with other local programs, such as the local Canadian Tire JumpStart and KidSport programs to ensure that financial circumstances will not prevent any young females from participating in hockey. The Canadian Tire JumpStart program is a community-based charitable program that helps children in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation. The KidSport Fund is the charitable arm of Sport BC that has been designed to remove the financial barriers that may prevent some kids from playing sports. Bell Community Sport Fund has provided a grant to pay for the balance of any hockey registration fees not covered by these local chapters for any female hockey player with a financial need.
